Phil McCall Awarded A Churchill Fellowship

Our Deputy CEO, Philip McCall has been awarded a Churchill Fellowship in recognition of his leadership in public affairs for the nuclear sector in Australia.

Over more than a decade, Phil has specialised in communications for the nuclear sector including:

  • The delivery of nuclear infrastructure with the siting of a National Radioactive Waste Management Facility in South Australia.

  • The return of the Australia’s first repatriated radioactive waste from France in 2015, and the second from the UK in 2022.

  • Proactive communications around nuclear medicine and Australia’s only nuclear reactor.

On his Fellowship, he will travel to Austria, Switzerland, France, Finland, the UK, Canada and the USA in mid-2023 to study the latest in best practice in nuclear communications for waste, defence, medical and energy facilities.
