Senior Public Affairs Consultant
This is a senior-level appointment which would suit you if your background is in politics and journalism and have a passion for regulatory relations and communications.
Factors which we view favourably for this role are:
Experience as a Ministerial Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff or Policy Advisor within the Australian, NSW or Victorian governments.
A background in media or communications.
Time as a senior corporate affairs practitioner within government or a large corporate.
Time as a consultant in the Australian environment.
This is a high-level role requiring the management of clients relationships, projects deliverables, and project budgets, including:
Ensuring high quality delivery by the team designated to the project.
Providing strategic direction.
Managing staff teams.
Delivering projects on budget.
Strong accountability to clients and to H/Advisors and upholding of our culture and values.
As a public affairs professional, your personal traits will include:
High levels of emotional IQ and strong relationship/inter-personal communication skills.
Project management skills and ability to be organised across multiple tasks and clients.
An energetic self-starter who can creatively navigate complex and difficult regulatory and stakeholder environments.
Time/task management skills and the ability work under pressure on competing deadlines.
Experience working with, and advising, senior executives and board members.
A natural curiosity and passion for current affairs.
